Two main factors determine whether your custom mug is microwave or dishwasher safe: mug material and imprint method.

Mug Material: We offer ceramic, porcelain, and glass mugs that are microwave and dishwasher safe. Other branded mugs should be washed by hand or washed in the top rack of the dishwasher. These include promotional mugs made of stainless steel or plastic. Some of our custom printed mugs are made with eco-friendly or renewable resources like oak wood or bamboo. These should be washed by hand. Mugs with a metallic imprint or finish should not go in the microwave.

Imprint Method: If your imprint is applied using the heat transfer method, the dishwasher will usually not compromise the imprint longevity. For other imprint methods, such as pad printing, it is best to wash the printed mug by hand to preserve your imprint for years to come.
